Developers have found a way to reverse-engineer the protocol that Siri uses to communicate with Apple’s servers. This could theoretically mean that apps can now use Siri on older iPhones and other platforms as well, but a unique ID requirement hinders deployment to other smartphone models and platforms.

In just a few days, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone in the world, will hit European stores, while North American Android fans are still waiting for proper launch dates and pricing information.
