Rumors are swirling about a February announcement by Canon that may see a new DSLR and an update to the Rebel line of digital cameras.  The Canon EOS 60D DSLR and the new Rebel digital cameras will likely receive swivel-screen displays to compete with comparable models by Nikon.

Canon is adding a few new camcorders to their VIXIA line of high-def camcorders. Nine new cameras will be released by the camera giant, from a high-end professional line to a low-end consumer model, these new HD 1080p camcorders will try to satisfy as many as possible.

Canon have announced a new range in its ever enduring PowerShot range of digital cameras in the form of the PowerShot A3100 IS, A3000 IS, A495 and A490 which are very much entry level point and shoot cameras aimed at the budget conscious.

The fact that most gadgets around us will get touch-friendly displays and even more intuitive user interfaces is not a secret anymore. That’s the natural evolution of things and in a few years we’ll probably be surrounded by gadgets with digital LCD displays that can deal with our greasy fingers.

Canon have today officially unveiled their new 16.1 megapixel EOS-1D Mark IV Digital SLR camera which, aside from boasting dual Digic 4 imaging processors and 14-bit A/D data conversion, touts 45 AF points including 39 high-precision cross-type focusing points also boasts Full HD video capture capabilities.
